Simon Cowell Won Over by Young Catholic Singer

Just in case you missed this, a Catholic 16 year old girl, the 9th of 12 kids, and sister to four brothers with Down's Syndrome, made it to Hollywood Week on American Idol, and gave the world a beautiful pro-life message in the process.

And even bitterly sarcastic judge Simon Cowell liked her-he admitted that she wasn't annoying! =D
People with Down's Syndrome are often some of the most loving people you will ever meet. Sadly, when a mother finds out her new baby will have Down's Syndrome, 90% of the time she will choose to abort. The scary thing is that some of the time, the doctors are wrong. One of my best friends was supposed to have Down's Syndrome, and the doctors told her mom that she should have an abortion, since her baby would not have a good quality of life. Well, Hayley just was Clara in the Nutcracker Ballet, is one of the most athletic people I know (she beat me in a swimming race doing breaststroke when I was swimming freestyle), is smart, beautiful, an exceedingly talented singer, dancer and musician, and definitely does not have Down's Syndrome. =D The main point is that life is precious in every way, and everyone deserves life. No one should determine if someone's life should be ended for lack of quality. There is quality in every human life.
